From Mexico to Montana, these are the 12 best all-inclusive resorts for families in 2026

Choosing an all-inclusive resort that fits your children's age level and interests is the most important vacation decision you can make.

Whether you’re traveling with little kids, teenagers, or a mix of both, opting for an all-inclusive resort can be a smart move. But you’ll want to choose wisely to keep everyone in the group happy.

My family has stayed at our fair share of all-inclusive resorts over the years, and I’ve learned a thing or two in the process. Some resorts that are perfect for toddlers can leave teens and tweens totally bored. Some of the best resorts for older kids, on the other hand, may leave little ones (and their parents) feeling cold. And let’s be honest—not every family needs (or wants to pay for) over-the-top luxury.

That’s why I’ve rounded up the FamilyVacationist team’s picks for the best all-inclusive family resorts in one at-a-glance place. These resorts hit the sweet spot for different age groups, budgets, and activity levels, and some don’t even require a passport or long plane flight.

How we chose these all-inclusive family resorts: Read our methodology for selecting hotels and all-inclusive resorts

1. Beaches Turks and Caicos

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos

Beaches Turks and Caicos was already an excellent choice for an all-inclusive family getaway. But the resort is raising the bar with the opening of its new all-suite Treasure Beach Village on March 1, 2026. The $150-million expansion situated along a half mile of iconic Grace Bay Beach includes 101 multi-bedroom suites; a new infinity pool with slides, splash zones, swim-up bars, and sunken social pods for kids and grownups; a village movie theater; and dining options ranging from a food hall serving everything from tacos to pizza to a Midwestern-style steakhouse.

PLAN AHEAD: Curious about Beaches Resorts? Here’s everything you need to know before you book

With the new addition to the property, guests will have access to a whopping 29 dining concepts, along with resort favorites like the expansive 45,000-square-foot Pirates Island Waterpark, signature Sesame Street programming, and the impressive Beaches Kids Camp with activities for babies through teens. Sister property Beaches Negril offers an equally appealing family getaway, and both locations are taking part in the brand’s Tiny Traveler’s First Passport offer. Families traveling with kids five and under before November 3, 2026, will receive a $135 resort credit per child (up to two) when they show proof of a newly issued passport at check-in.

2. Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya

My family stayed at the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya location when both of my kids were tweens. Neither was particularly into Nickelodeon characters at the time, although there may have been some residual good feelings for SpongeBob and the Paw Patrol crew. It still checked all the boxes for us. The accommodations are all-suite and every room features a swim-up pool. Yes, even those on the upper floors!

The Nickelodeon theming includes the AquaNick water park, meet-and-greets with characters, and game shows like Slime Time Live in front of a live studio audience—which we participated in (and won!). The resort’s drop-in kids club, Club Nick, is also included in the price. For a great all-around all-inclusive resort for families, this is top-notch. Even the food is pretty good.

The resort’s adults-only wing called Harmony recently unveiled a top-to-bottom refresh, and the two different accommodation areas make the resort ideal for a multigenerational getaway. The grandparents can stay in the quieter Harmony wing but still partake in all the fun over on the Splash side.
