When the Disney Destiny launches later this year (November 20, 2025, to be exact), it will bring together your favorite heroes and villains into one incredible vacation. After getting a preview of the beautiful new Wish-class ship myself, I can’t wait to get onboard. Everything from the entertainment, dining, and even character interactions feels like a culmination of everything Disney Cruise Line has done over the past few years with the Wish and Treasure, then amplifying it even more.

The new 4,000-passenger ship will sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During its inaugural season, it will take guests on four- and five-night sailings to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean. While where you go on a cruise matters, what’s onboard your cruise ship may be even more important. Along with Disney’s world-class service, you’ll find plenty of things to do onboard. The return of the exciting AquaMouse water coaster, beloved dining like 1923 and Donald’s Cantina, and the adorable show Disney Seas the Adventure in the Walt Disney Theater all await on the Disney Destiny.

But what new things are coming to the Disney Destiny? I got all the details on the new entertainment, dining, and more coming to the ship. Keep reading for all of the details. Just know that after reading, you’ll want to book a cruise on this new Disney Cruise Line ship immediately.

Restaurants on the Disney Destiny

There’s a seemingly endless variety of dining onboard Disney Cruise ships, but the Disney Destiny is bringing the normal cruise fare up a few notches.

Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King

Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King will be the premier rotational dining concept on the Disney Destiny. If you’ve been on the Disney Wish or Disney Treasure, you’ll know Pride Lands as the space occupied by Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure and Plaza de Coco, respectively. The dinner show concept will feature songs from the iconic 90s movie, The Lion King, sung by talented artists who will retell the story of Simba going from cub to king.

I tried a few of the dishes that will be served at Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King. Let’s just say this is going to be a must-try meal on the Disney Destiny. One of my favorite items was the Cape Malay Shrimp Curry. The dish infuses the flavors of garam masala and turmeric with a cumin-coconut curry sauce tossed with perfectly cooked shrimp, and served with basmati rice and roti. For dessert, the pineapple upside-down cake is a home run. The yogurt cake is topped with brûléed sugar and accompanied by sour cherries for the perfect not-too-sweet treat.

And if you’ve got kids traveling with you on the Destiny, they’ll want to try the Slimy Yet Satisfying drink. The non-alcoholic drink is a nod to the moment in The Lion King where Simba meets Timon and Pumba and they teach him how to eat grubs. The beverage mixed Sprite with lime-flavored gelatin for a drink that lives up to its name. It’s garnished with worm and centipede gummies.

Returning restaurants

Returning favorites, 1923 and Worlds of Marvel, will be part of the evening rotational dining on the Disney Destiny. You’ll also find Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods and Marceline Market open for quick service and buffet meals. Adults will love knowing Palo Steakhouse and Enchante will be available on the Disney Destiny, too.

Lounges on the Disney Destiny

If you’re looking for a spot to hang out on the Disney Destiny once the sun goes down, these lounges are ideal.

Cask & Cannon

Cruisers looking for a new lounge to enjoy will find three new spaces on the Disney Destiny. The first is Cask & Cannon, the onboard sports bar and pub themed to the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disney Parks. Here, you’ll find that the rum is never gone, plus plenty of craft beer brewed specifically for the bar.

The Sanctum

The Sanctum will be the spot to hang out for Dr. Strange fans. The open-air bar takes the place of The Bayou and Skipper Society on the Wish and Treasure, respectively. Inside the lounge, you’ll see the Cloak of Levitation, spell books from Kamar-Taj, and more nods to the Dr. Strange movies and comics. During the day, this will be a hot spot for games and trivia, but at night, live music and dancing take over.

SET SAIL: 12 best family cruises and ships in the world

During my preview of this area of the ship, I got to try one of the tasty cocktails, the Vapors of Valtorr. The purple drink is a mix of Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, and butterfly pea flower syrup.

De Vil’s

The piano bar onboard the Disney Destiny is De Vil’s. This bar themed to the baddie of 101 Dalmatians will be one of the most sought-after spots onboard. The signature cocktail I got to try is the Fashionista. It’s a mix of strawberry and banana-infused tequila, banana liqueur, agave nectar, and lime juice clarified with milk. It’s accompanied by strawberry shortcake-flavored popcorn.

What really makes this bar stand out is the entertainment from Cruella herself. Throughout the evening, she’ll be making her grand entrance into her namesake bar to chat with guests about all things fashionable and have some banter with the live piano player.

Haunted Mansion Parlor

If you’ve not sailed on the Disney Treasure yet, then you’re in luck because the highly rated Haunted Mansion Parlor is getting a second location on the Disney Destiny. Here, you’ll find craft cocktails in a setting that feels like it’s been plucked right from the Haunted Mansion attraction at the Disney Parks.

Entertainment in the Walt Disney Theater

The entertainment hub of the Disney Destiny is going to the Walt Disney Theater. Here, you’ll see three different shows, including the return of Disney Seas the Adventure and Frozen, A Musical Spectacular. The new show debuting exclusively on the Disney Destiny is Disney Hercules. The retelling of the animated movie will feature awe-inspiring musical numbers, state-of-the-art effects, costumes based on couture fashion, puppets, and more. Cruisers will also hear the theatrical debut of “Shooting Star.” The ballad was originally written for the movie by Alan Menken and David Zippel.

Character encounters get a new twist on the Disney Destiny

While the Disney Destiny will have traditional character meet-and-greets where guests stand in line to get pictures, the ship will bring some character interactions to an all-new level. Around the vessel, you’ll encounter some of the most iconic villains and anti-heroes from Disney and Marvel.

CRUISE DEALS: Kids sail free on these 8 cruise lines

In the Grand Hall, you’ll see Loki arrive and try to declare himself the ruler of the ship. He may also try to recruit you for a surprise competition or have you explain what the Disney Cruise Line experience is all about. Additionally, around the Grand Hall, you may spot Dr. Facilier lurking in the shadows and corners, inviting you to shake a poor sinner’s hand. After making a deal, you may see a parlor trick or play a game of chance.

At Saga, you’ll find Maleficent throwing a party, but all of us are invited. Here, you can choose to observe the mistress of all evil from afar or get an up-close demonstration of her dark magic.

And if you didn’t get enough of Cruella in De Vil’s, you may want to stick around for her runway show, which will bring guests center stage for some fashion advice and critiquing by the maven of furs.

Of course, these aren’t the only villains making their way to the Disney Destiny. Around the ship, guests will have the chance to see the likes of Hades, Captain Hook, and Mr. Smee, along with other mischievous personalities like Captain Jack Sparrow and Bruno from Encanto

Minnie Mouse also takes center stage in an all-new ship-exclusive outfit. Her heroic outfit reminds me a bit of Captain Marvel. If you love it as much as I do, there’s an entire merchandise line featuring the gang in superhero garb.
