Set along the south shores of Puerto Vallarta, elegant Hotel Mousai is the only AAA Five-Diamond property in this popular destination. With 144 sleek suites offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, it’s one of my all-time favorite all-inclusive resorts for couples and hits all the marks when it comes to service.

The adults-only resort is the perfect setting for a couples getaway. The suites are palatial and come with spacious bathrooms featuring marble floors and double vanities. Terraces with ocean or mountain views offer additional living space with comfortable chaise seating, making them great areas for lounging.

BEACH BLISS: 11 best adults-only all-inclusive Caribbean resorts

There are six restaurants on-site, including rooftop dining. My favorites are DAO and Hiroshi. Another perk is that the hotel allows dining at any of the restaurants within the Garza Blanca Preserve as part of its all-inclusive experience, so you have many more options for romantic dinners beyond the resort grounds.

Daily classes such as yoga, tai chi, and stretching are offered, along with guided hikes and tours. Try your hand at bocce ball or check out the poolside blackjack and Mexican bingo. You can also book a kayaking or snorkeling tour and wine and tequila tastings. Or perhaps you just want to lounge by the rooftop infinity pool listening to the ocean waves or take a stroll through the TierraLuna Gardens and stop at some of the cute boutiques that line the preserve? The options are virtually endless at this romantic all-inclusive resort.

2. Jade Mountain Resort

Nestled across 243 acres on a ridge overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Jade Mountain Resort is a luxury all-inclusive couples resort in St. Lucia that caters to vacationers seeking peace and quiet. Each of Jade Mountain’s rooms (called “sanctuaries”) has its own infinity pool with breathtaking views. The resort offers 24 sanctuaries boasting 15-foot-high ceilings, spacious living areas, and lavish furnishings. You can wake up to the sunrise and watch as the sun sets from the comfort of your room.

Take a stroll on the walkable Anse Chastanet Beach after a relaxed brunch and stay active with some snorkeling at the nearby coral reefs, where you’ll spot abundant marine life as you immerse yourself in pristine waters. For land activities, book a jungle biking adventure or partake in a challenging hike. Kayaks and paddleboards are available for rent. The resort also offers daily yoga, which my partner and I enjoyed doing to loosen up sore muscles. As an added treat, I suggest booking a private session so the instructor can cater the class to your needs. Plus, it’s a fun bonding experience with your partner.

You may also want to book a spa treatment at Kai en Ciel Spa, which has a full assortment of services including facials and body treatments. You won’t be disappointed with The Alchemy of Two, romantic ritual for couples. This is an amazing treatment that incorporates essential oils, edible treats, poetry, and a relaxing massage.

Meals at Jade Mountain Resort are a treat. You’ll be mesmerized by the lush views while your food is prepared by James Beard Award winner Chef Allen Susser. The restaurant features modern fusion dishes showcasing seasonal ingredients with touches of Caribbean inspiration.

3. Stella Island Luxury Resort and Spa

Crete, Greece

When you escape to Stella Island Luxury Resort and Spa, a 225-room sanctuary situated across from a wildlife refuge, you’ll find uber-luxurious all-inclusive overwater bungalows surrounded by light blue-colored lagoon pools. Accommodations are private, with balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. Larger rooms feature direct access to the lagoon pools while the island villa has its own private pool.

Triple Creek Ranch is a luxurious gem situated on a sprawling 700-acre ranch surrounded by the natural wilderness of Bitterroot National Forest. The all-inclusive property boasts luxurious cabins and suites with fireplaces, sitting areas, plush mattresses, and hot tubs. Designed to reflect western living, cabins are warm and cozy. Plus, each comes with the use of a golf cart from May through October, which are a fun way to get around the resort grounds.

NO PASSPORT NEEDED: 15 ultra-romantic Hawaii resorts for couples

If you and your significant other enjoy the Great Outdoors, this is the all-inclusive couples resort for you. Spend the day horseback riding, hiking the nearby forest, mountain biking, playing tennis, or snowshoeing in the winter. Book a guided fly fishing tour or simply float down the river. Triple Creek Ranch also offers yoga and meditation classes, along with a full-service spa to pamper and indulge. This is one of my favorite romantic resorts because you can do as little or as much as you want.

Enjoy freshly baked cookies out of the oven in the afternoons, along with snacks throughout the day. The dining room serves a changing daily menu, helmed by Executive Chef Jacob Leatherman, who has been on the ranch since 2005. It’s fun to dress up at night in Western regalia (if you choose) and enjoy dinners in the formal restaurant. The Sommelier is on hand to curate pairings for your meal. However, if you prefer some alone time with each other, meals can be delivered to your cabin.

5. Couples Swept Away

Negril, Jamaica

Strictly for the 18-and-over crowd, Couples Swept Away sits on a white sandy beach stretching seven miles long. All suites at this all-inclusive resort for couples offer furnished balconies and spacious bathrooms, but for a splurge consider booking one of the beachfront suites which also has a living room area and a patio just steps to the beach.

CARIBBEAN DREAM: 7 couples resorts in Jamaica that are perfect for a romantic getaway

With six restaurants, 24-hour room service, and eight bars, you’ll never get tired of the dining options at Couples Swept Away. To celebrate special occasions, work with the concierge team to book a private dining experience on the beach. I love that this resort is nicely spaced out with its three outdoor pools and five hot tubs. It never seems to feel crowded, making it the ideal oasis for romance.

If you’re the active type, reserve a spot for tennis lessons or partake in a couples kickboxing class. There are plenty of health and wellness activities for active twosomes to keep busy, too. For duos that enjoy golf, you’ll have access to the nearby championship Negril Hills Golf Course designed by the highly esteemed Robert Simmons. The par-72 course is the ultimate setting for a day of chasing birdies.

Sit on your outdoor patio as you enjoy coffee in the mornings. Spacious indoor sitting areas offer plenty of options for lounging. Upgraded accommodations feature private pools and ocean views. Though the resort houses 491 suites across three separate buildings, you would never guess it because the property sprawls over a full 80 acres.

SOUTH OF THE BORDER: 10 romantic Mexico resorts that cater to couples

There are eight restaurants to choose from, including a fun karaoke bar that’s open until 2:00 a.m. for those who enjoy nightlife. Of all the all-inclusive resorts for couples I’ve stayed at, Grand Velas Riviera Maya has the most diverse food options; it’s refreshing to try something new every night.

The elegant spa features 42 treatment rooms including a color therapy steam room, sauna, ice room, hot tub, cold plunge pool, and much more. If you’re doing a spa treatment, make sure to arrive early so you can take advantage of all the amenities.
