1. One&Only Moonlight Basin

Big Sky, Montana

Opened in November 2025, One&Only’s first U.S. resort was intentionally designed to let its natural setting take the spotlight. And what a setting that is: 240 secluded acres framed by the peaks of Big Sky and bordered by more than 17,000 acres of permanently protected land. Just an hour from Bozeman and adjacent to Yellowstone National Park, One&Only Moonlight Basin makes enjoying the outdoors easy, with a heated gondola that transports guests to Big Sky Resort’s Madison Base during ski season and miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, horseback riding, and other pursuits throughout the year.

Two private alpine lakes await for paddleboarding and fishing, or you can try your hand at fly-fishing on the Madison River. In the evening, the resort’s private observatory offers astronomer-led stargazing sessions. If all that activity wears you out, book some time at One&Only Spa, which features eight treatment rooms, steam and sauna facilities, an oxygen bar, an outdoor yoga deck, and an indoor lap pool with glass wall cantilevers that can open to the outdoors.
