Paying full sticker price for a Walt Disney World vacation? We don’t know her! If you’ve been waiting to learn about Disney World’s end-of-year discounts, you’ve come to the right place. Planning a November or December vacation to Disney World is stressful enough when you consider all of the holiday offerings and, with them, the holiday crowds. You might as well save a few dollars along the way.

The good news is that Walt Disney World Resort guests can not only save on their hotel reservations this holiday season, they can get some extra modern-day Disney Dollars (remember those?) in their pocket in the form of a gift card. Keep reading to see exactly what I mean.

Save up to 20% on Disney Resorts Collection rooms

The total amount of money you stand to save on your November or December Walt Disney World vacation varies based on WHEN you visit and WHERE you stay. The exact discount will be determined by dates and resort type — in short, the fancier the hotel, the more you stand to save…but only on certain dates.

This hotel discount does not need to include park tickets, meaning that this can be used as a room-only discount or a package discount. If you want the gift card, however, you will need to upgrade your resort reservation to a room-and-ticket package that includes nondiscounted 4-day (or longer) standard theme park tickets.

  • $75 promo card for packages at Disney Moderate Resort hotels
  • $50 promo card for packages at Disney Value Resort hotels

TIS THE SEASON: DISNEY WORLD ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF HOLIDAY PARTIES AND MORE FOR 2025

Should you book this new Disney World hotel discount?

While Disney World discounts are tempting, it’s important to crunch the numbers and determine whether or not it makes sense to take advantage of one. If you were already considering a trip from mid-October through late December, then this is a great opportunity to save some money.

The holiday season is already priced at a premium, so these discounts may bring the overall cost down to an amount you might already see during an off-peak season. So, this discount doesn’t suddenly make the holidays the most financially feasible time to go. But it certainly makes it an easier pill to swallow.

Shop around for other discounts to see if bigger savings are available. For example, you can save up to 30% — a bigger savings — on Walt Disney World Resort hotels from August to early October. If your dates are flexible and you don’t need to visit during the holidays, you might stand to save more money.

Pay close attention to the eligible dates for the hotel discount. If you’re considering a mid-October to late November trip, the valid dates are Sunday to Thursday nights, so you will pay the normal rack rate for Friday and Saturday.
