For many fans, the headliner act is the reopening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, now starring none other than The Muppets. It has been a highly anticipated reimagining of the Hollywood Studios coaster, which originally starred Aerosmith. Disney World just dropped some exciting new details you’ll definitely want to know!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets set list & experience

Similar to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and the Aerosmith version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, we’re getting a set list of multiple tracks you can rock out to on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

Eagle-eyed fans of the original version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster learned over time that each ride vehicle had its own unique song that would play each time. In the new version starring The Muppets, each ride is randomized with all of the limos capable of playing every track, meaning you’ll never know what song you’re going to get when you board.

Here’s a breakdown of the songs you might hear while on the ride:

  • “Song 2” – The Electric Mayhem
  • “Born To Be Wild” – The Electric Mayhem feat. Camilla the Chicken
  • “Love Rollercoaster” – The Electric Mayhem feat. Jennifer Hudson and Questlove
  • “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” – The Electric Mayhem feat. Def Leppard
  • “Walking on Sunshine” – The Electric Mayhem feat. Kelly Clarkson

But before you can start jamming, let’s breakdown what you can expect as you enter the queue:

As you might notice in the concept art, the pre-show and ride story will likely be very similar to the original Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster where you have to get across town to get to the big concert on time. The attraction will still bring guests into the wold of G-Force Records which was recently taken over by new management: The Muppets.

Throughout the queue, guests will spot celebrity cameos in pictures with the Muppets, including Neil Patrick Harris, Darren Criss, Wayne Brady, and more.

Bright, colorful posters highlighting the iconic career of The Electric Mayhem will be on display throughout the queue as well, making for a great photo op.

As you enter the pre-show, The Electric Mayhem will be seen rehearsing the familiar tunes of “Can You Picture That?” as Scooter attempts to get the band to “stop jamming and get to their increasingly restless fans.” Then it’s off to the super-stretch limos to speed across town in time for the big show!

Throughout the attraction’s queue and on the ride itself, you’ll encounter many of your favorite Muppets characters. It was previously announced that we’ll get the first-ever Audio Animatronic figure of Scooter in the ride’s pre-show.

Then it’s off to the alleyway behind Studio C where guests will board one of the latest innovations from Muppet Labs: the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object (L.I.M.O.).

The roller coaster layout and ride vehicles themselves are expected to be the same as the original Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. The major difference while riding, of course, is the soundtrack.

Spoiler alert…the ride culminates with The Electric Mayhem performing “Can You Picture That?” at their sold out show. This filmed concert footage will be seen on television screens as you exit the attraction, much like how the Aerosmith concert footage was displayed exiting the original version of the ride.
