Walt Disney World 2027 vacation packages available now: what’s new and returning

Walt Disney World will also bring back its Deluxe Dining Plan as a vacation package add-on option in 2027, a first since the pre-pandemic era.

If you’re like me, then you’re the type-A Walt Disney World vacation planner who has at least five trips in the works at all times. If that’s the case, you’ll be thrilled to know that Disney World just released vacation packages for most of 2027, available now for booking.

If I’m being honest, I have trips in my head mapped out through 2030. But alas, we can only book so far out when it comes to Disney World vacations. The farthest out you can typically book a vacation is around 18-20 months ahead of time, depending on when Disney releases the following year’s packages. Mid-April is early for Disney to release next year’s packages, but it’s following a recent trend of packages coming out earlier than in the past (it used to be early summer).

2027 Walt Disney World vacation packages available now

It’s time to start booking if you want first dibs on you choice resort and vacation dates at Walt Disney World in 2027. As of this morning, park tickets, room-only reservations, and vacation packages (room and tickets) became available. At this time, you can book through October 31, 2027. November and December dates will be available later this year.

Should you call Disney World and book right this second? Well, you most certainly can, but for the vast majority of guests, there’s no need to rush into booking a trip. The early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the exact room type and dates they want. However, inventory should be readily available at least for the next couple of months, including peak seasons.

Don’t forget that you don’t have to wait for discounts to be announced to book a trip. If you book a vacation and a discount for your dates and room type is announced at a later time, you can retroactively apply the discount to your reservation.

Major changes coming to the Disney Dining Plan in 2027

One popular Walt Disney World vacation package add-on is the Disney Dining Plan. This meal plan gives an all-inclusive feel to your trip where you pre-pay for a set number of dining credits that can be redeemed at most dining locations in the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.

2027 will bring significant changes to the Disney Dining Plan. Returning for the first time since the pre-2020 era is the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan. If your vacation is ultra food-centric, this dining plan could be the right choice for your family. In 2027, the Deluxe Dining Plan will include the following allotment of dining credits (per person):

  • Two (2) Table Service Dining Credits per night of stay
  • One (1) Quick Service Dining Credit per night of stay
  • One (1) Snack Credit per night of stay
  • One (1) refillable resort mug

This is a departure from the pre-pandemic-era Deluxe Dining Plan, which allotted each guest on the reservation three dining credits that could be used at any dining location, whether it be Table Service or Quick Service. Also, guests with the Deluxe Dining Plan receive one snack credit each day, lower than the previous Deluxe Dining Plan’s amount of two snack credits per day.

The Table Service Dining Plan (previously named the Disney Dining Plan) and the Quick-Service Dining Plan will also be available to book in 2027. Note that the Deluxe Dining Plan will not be available until 2027. If you have a 2026 vacation coming up and are considering adding the dining plan, you can add the Quick Service or standard plan.

What’s new and returning to Disney World in 2027?

In addition to the changes coming to the Disney Dining Plan, we learned a little bit about what other vacation packages incentives are coming back in 2027. When you book a Walt Disney World vacation package, you’re securing more than just a room and park tickets. An on-site reservation comes with a series of perks, many of which are returning in 2027, including:

  • Early theme park entry for each of the four theme parks 30 minutes prior to the posted opening time
  • Extended evening hours on select nights for guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts
  • Early access to Lightning Lane reservations (7 days prior to arrival versus 3) and dining reservations (60 days plus the length of your trip versus 60 days ahead of the date of each park visit)
  • Complimentary transportation which includes buses, the Monorail, the Skyliner, and boats

No word yet on some vacation packages incentives we’ve seen in recent years, most notably whether or not complimentary water park admission will be included at all in 2027.

The headliner theme park expansion coming to Walt Disney World in 2027 is the Tropical Americas land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This brand-new land will feature attractions including an Indiana Jones ride and Encanto ride. No word yet on when in 2027 this land will open, but I’d expect an update by late summer around D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (happening mid-August in Anaheim).
